'The thing no-one's mentioned about 8.20 train is the Police told Virgin to close the buffet car so no one could buy alcohol... but it was left completely unmanned so people just broke the alcohol cabinet open and took what they wanted.'

Good work there.

Cos you're impatient, had a beer, and risk missing your last train home if you don't?

I'm not condoning anything here but these things happen all the time. No one was hurt and at the end of the day it was mostly the old bill and train companies fault for not preparing. Not like it was a stampede resulting in hundreds of deaths.

If two kids aged 8 and 11 were crushed, they would be dead.

It was really busy at a train station and it wasn't comfortable at all for anyone. That's the whole story here. No need to be a drama queen about it (Ornchurch).

Mashed, you might as well as stopped at "It's hardly like anyone in these situations thinks".

Why keep pushing if you do not know what is in front of you?

It's hardly like anyone in these situations thinks "oh there's some kids right up in front up against some barriers, let's try and kill them" is it.

'There were children in the crowd and a fight broke out as the children were being crushed. I saw two children aged about eight and 11 that were crushed." - Sion Fon, trainee solicitor.

From the Mail "'The football fans on the whole were in good spirits and only the lack of information was making people anxious.

'After 40 minutes of waiting, the police started allowing people on the trains through one entrance. However as the crowd behind were not aware of the barriers ahead, there was a big push from behind. This pushing resulted in many being pushed against the first barrier.

'There were children in the crowd and a fight broke out as the children were being crushed. I saw two children aged about eight and 11 that were crushed."

No better than scousers.

Even when the on board plod got to the carriage 5 mins later and caught a few people red handed all they did was tell everyone to put it back and go back to their seats. That was a very reasonable response. They could have nicked them.

Don't know.... Adrian usually tweets a photo of them travelling and they are always on the train... apparently Slav isn't particularly fond of flying.

Thank fuck I drove!

Any sign of the team on the train - I think that's their transport of choice nowadays? Anyone join them in first class?

I was on the train after, Harry, I think which was something like the 20.55? The driver also threatened to kick everyone off the train at stockport too, unless they stopped fighting, which would have made for a really fun night.

I got the 19.07 and that was fine, didn't got to London.

However I see the queue starting on the main platform and staff looking everywhere and it seemed that they didn't have a clue what was going on or how they were going to cope with it,

The woman on our train said something over the tannoy about certain tickets being allowed and not allowed and then 5 mins later changed her mind and apologised.

I think they panicked somewhat.

I think Pony Lady was enjoying the attention from her gang of alpha males. She had a touch of the Carnerios about her.

She lives in Woodford. Well, that's where she got off of the Tube last night.
